Michael Brophy: Terry’s Map

This artist's book is anchored by 48 drawings of sites Michael Brophy visited in southeastern Oregon, based on a map given to him by renowned photographer Terry Toedtemeier (1947–2008). This material, in turn, became the basis of a book by the artist, telling the story of the map, the journey, and the drawings. The drawings are reproduced at their actual size to translate the feel of the artist's journal to each viewer.
